Privacy Policy

ServicePilot is a technology platform operated in Nigeria that connects customers with vetted home service professionals ("Pilots") and enables short-term property stays. Our registered business email is legal@servicepilot.ng.

We collect only what we need to operate the platform:

• Account data: Full name, email address, phone number, and password (stored as a one-way hash, we never see your password).
• Service request data: Address, description of services requested, scheduled dates, and communications between you and service professionals.
• Property listing data: Property address, photos, description, and pricing that hosts choose to publish.
• Payment data: Transaction references, amounts, and payment status. We do not store your card number or bank details, these are handled by Flutterwave.
• Device data: Push notification tokens, device type, and IP address (for security and fraud prevention).
• Usage data: Which features you use, when you use them, and any errors you encounter.

• To create and manage your account
• To match your service requests with available Pilots
• To process and verify payments via Flutterwave
• To send transactional emails (OTP codes, quotes, booking confirmations) via Resend
• To send push notifications about your active requests or bookings
• To detect fraud and enforce our Terms of Service
• To improve the platform based on usage patterns

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising.

To operate the platform, we share limited data with the following providers:

• Flutterwave (flutterwave.com), Payment processing. Your email, name, and transaction amount are shared for payment verification.
• Resend (resend.com), Transactional email delivery. Your email address and the content of system-generated emails are processed by Resend.
• Strovio (strovio.xyz), File and image storage. Photos you upload for listings are stored on Strovio's infrastructure.
• Expo (expo.dev), Push notification delivery. Your device push token is shared with Expo to deliver in-app notifications.

Each of these providers has its own privacy policy and is contractually bound to protect your data.

Your data is stored on secure servers hosted in Nigeria. We use industry-standard encryption (TLS) for all data in transit. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt and cannot be read by our team. Access to production data is restricted to authorised personnel only.

Under Nigeria's Data Protection Regulation (NDPR), you have the right to:

• Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Correction: Ask us to correct inaccurate data
• Deletion: Request that your account and associated data be deleted
• Portability: Receive your data in a machine-readable format
• Objection: Object to specific uses of your data

To exercise any of these rights, email us at privacy@servicepilot.ng. We will respond within 30 days.

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain it (e.g., financial transaction records).

ServicePilot is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from minors. If you believe a minor has registered, please contact us immediately.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will notify you via the app and update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of ServicePilot after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new policy.
